Hi LG engineers & techs!

With this forum the focus will be mostly on the korean LG-Nortel products, that formerly were named Goldstar.

The product range consists of small to medium size PBX.

Traditional PBX products like GDK-34, GDK-162/186, GDK-16D/E and GDK-20W could also be discussed.
GDK-34 as referred to before, is named GDK FP-II in some countries (Flat-Pack).

Discussions about the legacy systems GHX-828 and GSX-1232 and GHX-36/46 could be interesting here in this forum.

Also the new PBX systems that includes VoIP trunk and IP phones could be discussed:
These systems are ipLDK-20/24, ipLDK-100 and ipLDK-300.

Also the new pure IP phone system IPECS can and will be discussed here in this forum.

For the US marked these names are a bit different.

Here we are speaking about the Vertical (former Vodavi) products like StarPlus, XTS and Telenium.

Why is the named LG- Nortel. Why nortel?

Hi Cook

The company LG was made when Lucky and Goldstar merged. Goldstar produced PBX and consumer electronis like radios and TV. Then the PBX part of LG (called LG electronics) and Nortel build up a joint venture, mostly for research and development purposes. LG Electronics is now LG-Nortel, and this company sells the smaller PBX'es, where Nortel still sells the larger ones.
