CME 7.1, no voice for SIP calls

New postby pbx_dancer on Thu Apr 09, 2009 8:51 am

Hi all,

I have a CME 7.1 that I'm trying to configure but I'm having troubles establishing voice path whenever a SIP phone is one party of a call. An SCCP to SCCP call can establish 2-way voice. However, if I make a SIP->SCCP, SCCP->SIP, or SIP->SIP call, I don't get 2-way voice.

I've captured packet traces for both endpoints and I can see that both endpoints are transmitting RTP traffic, and the neither is receiving inbound RTP traffic. One thing I do notice is that when I have a mixed call (one endpoint SIP and one endpoint SCCP) the CME appears to be detecting DTMF RFC2833 packets coming from the SIP endpoint and translates those in to an equivalent SCCP KeypadButtonMessage command so that the SCCP phone will hear the digit that was played by the SIP endpoint. So I know the CME is not only seeing the RTP stream coming from the SIP endpoint, it's also looking for RFC2833 DTMF event messages in the RTP stream.

I noticed there was a 'voice rtp send-recv' command that says "open RTP streams". I issued that command, but it did not make a difference.

I have a pretty straight forward configuration. Here are the related things:

Am I missing some basic configuration parameter here? Can someone point me in a direction for further investigation?

Thanks,
